Anchor of Love Hospice

Volunteer Services

Trained volunteers who offer companionship, a listening ear, and a few hours of relief for the family.

Volunteer Services

Our volunteers are trained members of the hospice team. They visit to keep a patient company — reading, talking, listening to music, or simply sitting with someone so they are not alone.

That presence also gives family caregivers a short break to run errands, sleep, or step outside for an hour without worrying.

What this includes

  • Companionship visits and conversation
  • Reading aloud, music, and shared activities
  • A short break for the family caregiver
  • Help with light errands
  • Support with recording life stories and memories
